Case 01

Amazon Delivery: Driver Management Suite

Logistics

A 0-to-1 initiative empowering Amazon Delivery Partners to manage teams effectively.

The suite is now an essential tool for daily partner operations.

Challenge

Building a people management culture from zero. The core objective was deceptively simple: How can we help Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) become great people managers?

In reality, the domain was exceptionally ambiguous. We had no existing tooling, no foundational research, and "great management" was viewed as subjective. We were operating on unvalidated theories without metrics to measure success. I needed to define the problem space, validate a vision, and build a solution from the ground up to operationalize culture and reduce driver turnover.

01. Discovery & Hypothesis

Targeted high-performing DSPs with low turnover for deep-dive interview research.

Hypothesized that retention success was driven by specific, repeatable culture investments.

Established these cultural insights as the foundational pillars for the new system.

02. Co-creation

Led cross-country sessions to map the daily workflows of top-performing partners.

Identified critical friction points, specifically the lack of time for meaningful driver connection.

Uncovered systemic gaps in accessing performance metrics and identifying onboarding blockers.

03. Strategic ideation

Prioritized "Low-Cognitive Load" displays to suit fast-paced operational environments.

Designed interaction patterns that surfaced actionable interventions instantly.

Enabled partners to identify wins and celebrate driver success in seconds, not minutes.

04. Validation loop

Deployed unmoderated heat-mapping to validate visual hierarchy and information architecture.

Partnered with the DSP Advisory Group to refine concepts against technical constraints.

Closed the feedback loop with original participants to ensure we were building with them, not just for them.
